The socially distant outdoor dining concept with food by Jean-Georges Vongerichten and drinks by Dante debuted in the summer of 2020, returned to The Rooftop at Pier 17 for a winter edition. ROSSEEL STUDIO acted as creative director and interior designer for the winter concept executed by Relevant. The concept is built of 28 individual 12’ by 10’ winterized dining cabins fitting up to 10 guests. They are fitted out with a leaf table that can double its size so the layout feels right whether there’s 2 people dining or the full capacity of 10.
The overall ambiance will remind you of a ski village, as do the interiors, the deck and dining bench are built out of swiss chalet style knotted pinewood, and the decor is kept cosy with virtual fireplaces, electric heating, cushions and custom lighting pendants.
